LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jim Carrey is being criticized on social media for a portrait he painted that is believed to be White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The actor and comedian on Saturday tweeted the painting with the caption: "This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!"

Clearly, Jim Carrey is saying that when you support evil people by lying it makes you look ugly. It doesn't matter if you're a woman or a man.

The Washington Times is using this as an opportunity to claim misogyny on the left. Christians are using this as an opportunity to claim persecution.

Meanwhile, all these authoritarian groups are trying to pressure Carrey to take the painting off the Internet.

Carrey's ability to be a beacon of truth would be a bit better if he wasn't in the anti-vaxxer crowd.
 
I'm no huge Jim Carrey fan, particularly due to his anti-vaxxer views as JH pointed out, but this is the biggest "nothing burger" I've seen in a while. People display unflattering pictures and comments of their nemesis all day long on teh web, whether its Hillary or Trump, or Donald Duck. BFD.

And why is this considered misogynistic?

I'd pay $1,000 for that. It's prolly worth $10,000.. but I don't have 10k to burn. It's a fine piece.
I agree that it does capture her spirit quite well and that is what makes it valuable art.

How could she be? She's the daughter of Mike Huckabee as I recall, and had two brothers. I'm surprised they let her have a job, to be honest. Seems hypocritical on their part. But, I can see how a slavish devotion, ability to coexist with extreme cognitive dissonance, and ability to ignore basic facts would factor into her being able to do the job.
 
My wife and I are in agreement that she is the most talented person in the Whitehouse... possibly EVER... and by far.
She is a genius at her job. Which makes her pure evil... but really good at it, for sure. I bet even Satan Himself is all like, "damn girl, that was good" from time to time.

You have to admit her performance is spectacular, no? She will get Trump's Rose at the end of the season, for sure... last one on the island, and all that.
