The Dallas police knew Ruby well. They frequented his nightclub. They had no reason to be leery of his presence in the station house. Ruby had no mob ties. That is a myth.

The day before Oswald killed JFK, his wife dumped him. She was a great admirer of the president.

On the morning of the assassination, Oswald left behind his wedding ring. People have long speculated on his motive for killing Kennedy. Could it be he killed him just to spite his wife?

"Jack, you son of a bitch" is what at least one officer reportedly said to Ruby a moment after the shooting. These officers knew Ruby, went to his clubs all the time. So if they saw him standing there to observe the transfer they wouldn't have thought he's going to shoot Oswald.
