Please refer to previous discussion of this idea of "black privilege" some are saying in the forum. My problem with the examples has been that if you slap someone in the face and then give them a dollar, that's not a privilege, it's an undefined net thing. As slapping someone in the face is intertwined with the action of giving them the dollar, they have to be taken together, and there is no correct monetary value assigned to slapping them in the face. We cannot tell whether it is a net benefit or net cost. Moreover, that is not really what a privilege is, since it is more compensatory.
In any case, here's the latest example. A young black landscaper and his young friends, just all children--the main character in the story, he's 12--are going around to yards and cutting lawns. Very productive and great for them. Now they work for one lady and accidentally cut the lawn ever so slightly of the neighbor white lady. So, rather than go out there to talk to them personally either before or after it happens, she calls the police on them. Likely, if the kids had been white, this wouldn't happen 9 times out of 10 (or whatever). Some kind of video of the police coming or something afterward goes a little viral and these kids get a GoFundMe page making a little money for more jobs or something like that.
Now based on previous "black privilege" claims, some posters would be quick to separate out the gofundme page from the like racist incident and trauma having to deal with police and a grouchy racist lady when you're 12. That's cherry-picking what you want for ideological reasons in my opinion.

" angry old codger. Anyone who has had a house/condo that is subject to the rules of an HOA knows that there are people out there with too much time on their hands and/or are on some kind of power trip. Or they're a busy-body a la Alice Kravitz.
