Leaks May to confront Trump

The FBI was asked to plug the leaks and didn't as it turns out

That is a report is about a tweet from President Trump - a known liar and ignoramus. Why would any rational human being take his word about anything?

So does this mean the British police were imagining there were leaks?

There again the FBI had its own problems in 2016

Thousands of FBI and Homeland Security details stolen by hackers

The FBI activities are in support of National Security similar to M15 in the UK. It covers domestic security.

The president shouldn't have to tell it to do its job.

Real whistle blowing would be for something specific which is against the nation's interest, not just leaking questions.
Well, i'm sure the people doing the leaking consider Trump's corruption, or Trump's incompetence, or Trump's ignorance, or any number of Trump's failings to be against the nation's interest. Or at least they've told themselves something like that, so their leaking is whistleblowing.

The president shouldn't have to tell it to do its job.
That's hilarious, considering that THIS president has tried to STOP them from doing their job.
Seriously, who writes your jokes?

There needs to be more than hearsay.

There is. Just because you can't accept it doesn't mean it isn't there.

And the annoying thing is you probably never will accept it, because at this point your own ego is so tied up into this that you couldn't bare having to lose face over the issue. This is how conspiracy theories are born. Willing to bet anything that if trump is impeached over the FBI's findings, you'll be among the first to cry conspiracy.

.
You can say that about anything. This is just as valid as asserting that someone should prove God does not exist. The FBI hasn't provided any findings so we don't know.

Actually it's closer to asserting that someone who insists the earth is flat just doesn't want to believe that it isn't because the alternative is to be wrong and look incredibly foolish. Conspiracy theories are all propped up on the egos of people who can't accept their own foolish ignorance.

Nonetheless that is part of its role. I've heard stupid etc, but he became president despite the predictions and resulting butt-hurt. Nonetheless, we cannot even more take any accusations seriously until founded in fact.

Maybe enough bleating could create enough for a vote on impeachment. Who knows.

I think there's something that a lot of people are missing. Sometimes conveniently, in order to prop up their pet theories of what's really what's going on in regards to the leaks. It doesn't make sense there being a single source, or reason for these leaks. It's not just the White House staff. It's not just the various intelligence services. It's not just the president (although we have very blatant proof that he is part of the problem). The leaks are coming from all the above, and then some. Some are people trying to queue the world in on what's going on in the administration. Some are people trying to stave off competition in their jobs. Some are likely out of spite for a president that respects no one under his command. We've had intelligence services that haven't liked our commander and chief before, but I don't think there's been a lack of respect for the office like there is today, and really, there's only one person to blame for that - Trump himself. As long as Trump continues to devalue the people that put their lives on the line for a powerful commodity in today's day and age - information, he'll continue to leak like a sieve. Ironically, for a "great businessman and negotiator", Trump understands NOTHING on how to lead. He demands loyalty and respect, but does not understand one inspires loyalty and respect. It isn't given out of some alpha male posturing bullshit about how you grab pussies and shake hands.
