Anne Rice has written a book titled Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, which will come out November 29.
Entertainment Weekly has a sample of the book if you care to read about a vampire who goes to Atlantis, and holy god why would anyone ever not want to read that. It sounds amazing. Hell, I already can’t wait for the sequel, because I’m almost 100% confident Lestat’s next adventure is going to take place in outer space.

I'm going to bring this up the next time someone asks when Rowling is going to put out another Harry Potter book. Sometimes an author is just done with a character and they need to stop because further books ruin the good ones which have already been written.

Lestat jumped the shark a long time ago. IMO, he did it in The Tale of the Body Thief. Any novel you read where the first thought in your head when you finish the book is "The main character was stupid" bodes ill.
