I doubt Trump had anything to do with the placement of this commandant and less to do with this particular investigation, but still, he's the commander in chief, so he deserves at least some credit for this.
My father was a career military officer, so I grew up on mililtary bases around military people, so I'm all too aware that the US military has always been a bit lax in its enforcement of rape and harassment rules/laws. I wonder if the #metoo thing had any influence on this?
