Season is winding down.
Not many games left.
My Mariners look good!
Thoughts?

Well, the Guardians will have the biggest comeback in MLB history if they can hold it for the remaining five games.
Exciting bottom of the sixth inning for Cleveland. David Fry attempting to bunt gets hit in the face which is not very pretty to watch but the rest of the inning is very exciting with the ball never leaving the infield other than Skubal attempting to hike the ball to the first basemen.

Queued up to the bottom of the sixth.

Fry is at the Cleveland Clinic. No updates yet this morning.

Jays and Sox, Guardians and Tigers. Huge games. AL East is tight as it usually seems to be. Guardians or Tigers could miss playoffs entirely, but are still in the wild card hunt.

Sounds like that one half-inning was one of the weirdest Hollywood only could come up with such nonsense type of half innings. Three runs without the ball being hit beyond the diamond. And there were hits!

Dodgers win the division. Go Dodgers.

I’ll be in San Diego this weekend and going to see the Padres. What a great stadium Petco Park is.

I remember roasting through an afternoon game there, surrounded by hot concrete. And paying a king's ransom for a chicken sandwich. It was a piece of chicken on a bun, that's it. I was playing hooky from work so still not that bad.

Jays and Yanks are tied for first. Jays finish up at home against the Rays, Yanks take on the Orioles in the Bronx.

Tigers and Guardians are tied for first. Guardians are at home to the Rangers and the Tigers face Boston who are fighting for a playoff spot.

The AL has only three teams in the playoffs, with only one with the Division title in hand.

The NL is generally set, with just the last wild card to be determined.

This is only the third season in which four players have hit 50 or more home runs. One guy sits at 49. If he makes fifty it will be the first tine in history with five players hitting 50 or more homers.

I've never liked the expanded playoff system. At least with a best of five you need to have a three starting pitchers. In a best of three, it is less about the better team as it is a better starter or two and bullpen. But this is what we have. The Tigers and Guardians will replay their series from last week for the right to fly out to Seattle. Meanwhile, old school rival Yanks and Sox fight for the right to take on Toronto.

I'm told the NL has a playoffs too, but I don't particularly pay much attention to it unless the Expos make the playoffs... and have a bit of joy when 'dem bums loses.
