I met someone yesterday that wanted to get into a debate, so we did. During the discussion (on my part) type of argument (on his part and poorly done to say the best about it) he dropped that he's a moon landing conspiracy theorist, thinks that semantics will prove every assertion, and that no one ever had slaves in any culture, plus that no culture older than Christianity ever had religious beliefs or rituals. He also believes that nobody has any racial differences because it was all made up by Darwin and that his trade degree in Electrical engineering already make him smarter than everyone who ever lived.
Oh, and all scientific endeavors are wrong because anytime scientists make a mistake they fix it an keep moving forward. He also thinks aliens have been here an worked with the ancient Egyptians to make them scientifically more advanced than we are today, we just don't want to admit it as a culture. And nobody can know anything unless google told them it's true, because google is itself the king of all sources ever, as well as ask.com, cuz this guy has used them, in his own words "to prove what I already believe because I like what I already believe". According to him, it also helps to get other people to agree, and if we just learn to use semantics to win then we will know more but somebody like me who insists on having enough evidence that is analyzed properly without fallacious assertions or assumptions "just doesn't like semantics, aliens visiting to give us all our knowledge, or accepting the truth about the fake moon landing and really just wants the earth to be round because I won't trust a trade degree being better than anybody at Harvard".
Yeah, I hate people an sincerely am moving toward an early grave with much delight. Fuck having to live around people that willfully stupid, in a country lead by people who are also that willfully stupid and morally bankrupt, because other stupid morally bankrupt people want it that way, all on a planet filled with willfully stupid, morally bankrupt useless shitheads.
We landed on the moon in the 60s, then Russia, then China, no evidence yet that aliens have visited, yes we are shitty enough to have kept slaves in various culture across the globe, no we didn't have an excuse for it, but what does it matter cuz people will argue for the dumbest shit ever because they like to believe the dumbest shit ever while thinking it makes them smart because they used "big words" and google showed them search results, and Siri agreed with them.
