It really is astounding how quickly attitudes on homosexuality have changed in America in just a few years. Back in '04, Rove used teh gheys as the bogeyman to drive rightwing voters to the polls. Then when Obama came out in favour of gay marriage, not a single elected representative criticized him for the stance and confined themselves to saying that he was only doing it to be popular. Now, most would like a gay President over the people who still demonize the gays.

Good work, America. It's almost like you're in the first world.
