This was really cheap so I took a chance on it. I signed up for Prime and got it for $278. The price seems to change a little bit every time I visit the site.

As far as the computer itself goes, I'm fairly well impressed. I would grade the case quality on par with the Asus computers I've worked on. The keyboard has a nice feel to it. The video screen is excellent for the price. It's quite speedy. The HP Probook I'm replacing this with was really slow at accessing my cloud G drive files. This does it very quickly. The only negative for me is it only has two USB ports. But USB hubs are cheap.

If anyone needs a cheap good quality laptop, this is definitely one to consider. My wife's boss has already ordered one.

I'm still astounded at how much cheaper and more functional computers are today than when I was a kid. I first bought a home computer back in 1978. It cost $850, had 8k RAM, 8 bit Z80 4 MHz processor, no mass storage (you had to use your own cassette recorder and tape). Monochrome only...no color capability. The monitor was an addtional $150. But I loved it. Had to write my own BASIC programs for the most part for it to actually do something. If I was told I could get that computer at that price in 2025, I would have never believed it.

Sinclair ZX80 was my first computer in 1980 (funnily enough). Similar specs.
I bought the build it yourself version.

The name looks scary. Those monkey on a keyboard names are usually selling chinesium stuff.

I bet it would be a great machine if you wiped the Win 11 malware, and replaced it with an actual operating system. ;)
I started on DOS 3.1. Not planning on going back.
I am unsure of in what sense you think replacing MS crapware with a decent modern FOSS operating system would be "going back".
