It's not an exaggeration. Democracy in the US died when Rump 47 took office and the Repugnacants gained control of all three branches of US government.
Democracy is about compromise. Get people together to hash out policies that benefit the most people. The Repugnacants refuse to compromise, and just enable the slumlord's whims, grifts, and vanity projects.
The Repugnacants need/deserve to get their asses kicked, all up and down the ballot. Even locals. Local Repugnacants grow up to be national Repugnacants.
