OAN Sued Maddow for Defamation - OAN now officially owe her (and MSNBC's) lawyers $250,000

Is there a talking head? The trouble with great news coverage is that it takes time, so there are fewer stories. Jon Oliver, NPR exhibit this quality. Find a couple stories, report and discuss on them in depth. Cable News ratings won't react positively to an in-depth with nuance, lets not pile ideologically on to the subject approach.

Personally, I think the quality in John Oliver's stories has dropped significantly over the years. There is a lot less sourcing and audio/visual quotes and a lot more sarcastic hyperbole. Entertaining, but nowhere near as thorough or comprehensive as stories he presented up until say around 2018. And despite me posting Last Week Tonight clips like a fangirl, I suspect the trend in declining quality will continue.

It doesn't help that they made it too easy, and it's all too fucked up, and it's fucked up here.

It is up to his producers. One man can't put a show like that together.

They are the people that develop the stories and ideas he talks about.

I think with Trump out of office there is less interest in what Oliver says, not from me, since he is a critic from the left.

The reasonable attacks of Biden will come from reasonable people on the right.

I honestly can't think of one.

And way too much bestiality. Seriously, new drinking game: take a drink every time John Oliver refers to sex with animals or even just animal sex. You'll end up drunker than a sexy shithouse rat.

Well, he's clearly a furry pervert, and he probably likes some really weird porn, but I maintain that it's hard to be an over-the-top news show when reality itself jumped the shark.

Good point. He's pretty tame by the standards of this alternate timeline we're in now.
