Interestingly I see a lot more people (conspiracy theists if you will) nowadays giving talks about a particular group of Jesuits (seeds of satan so-called) who have been said to be corrupting ,infiltrating various denominations, replacing or steering focus and distorting Christianity for centuries. No wonder we're a mixed confused bunch, considering if this being the case.

They don't need conspiracy. There is no satan, just as there is no jebus. The whole edifice of christianity is corrupt from the core.

God tells one man to kill his offspring, which he tries to do, and he's arrested for attempted murder.

God tells another man to kill his offspring, which he tries to do, and the man is praised for his obedience.

I don't think theists make a distinction between morality and obedience.

The first man is wrong not because it is wrong to kill your own child, but because he was wrong about what god said to him.

Shallow is wishing something were true because you lack imagination and courage to accept the real world for what it is, not what you'd like it to be.

"Blame"?

If God exists and is omnipotent and omniscient, then He is responsible for everything. The word blame implies that he is not responsible, but if he is not responsible, then he is not omnipotent.
