• Welcome to the Internet Infidels Discussion Board.

On this Day in History, December 6, 1865

You can shuck and jive all you want, but your comment was and is pointless to the discussion. Your fears about "black radicals" and your ignorance about black people do not justify these "suggested questions".
My comment was not about any "fear" even though many of those black radicals are murderers or otherwise felonious people one should legitimately be afraid of.
But my comment was a legitimate one. If Islam has a much worse track record on slavery than Christendom, why did the black radicals embrace Islam in such large numbers? You have not answered that question. Instead you accused me of "ignorance about black people", without trying to remedy it by answering my question. I suspect it is not I who is ignorant about black people, but black radicals who have been ignorant about history of Islam.

Athena's post starts with the 1865 passing of the US 13th Amendment; But if you take a look at the article it is taken from, you will see that it goes back a LONG way before that.
Athena did not post any article. In any case, nothing in this thread supports Tom Sawyer's assertion that US was decades behind the rest of the world.

1835: Treaty between Britain and France to abolish slave trade.
1835: Treaty between Britain and Denmark to abolish slave trade.

Perhaps this is the source of Tom Sawyer's '30 years behind the world' comment?
Perhaps. In that case he would have made a mistake of equating slave trade with slavery. Banning slave trade means no new slaves being imported. Banning slavery means freeing the slaves already there.
For example, US banned slave trade in 1807.

So that puts the 13th amendment 2,086 years behind the first laws eliminating slavery. What took you so long??
I merely refutued Tom Sawyer's claim that US was decades behind the rest of the world. I did not claim US was first in the world, did I?

The 13th Amendment to the Constitution declared that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." Formally abolishing slavery in the United States, the 13th Amendment was passed by the Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified by the states on December 6, 1865
Due to that loophole slavery in US went well into 1940-something I understand. Blacks and sometimes whites too were arrested for phony crimes and then sold into slavery

There is a book about it called SLAVERY BY ANOTHER NAME. Good book. Worth the read.

Your comment dripped with fear with the invocation of "black radicals". You are only fooling yourself.
But my comment was a legitimate one. If Islam has a much worse track record on slavery than Christendom, why did the black radicals embrace Islam in such large numbers? Your question about "black radicals" and Islam is as idiotic as askingin why can people who oppose slavery embrace the US constitution since it only relatively recently abolished it.

Thank you for supporting my observations about your fear and lack of knowledge with these responses.

From Introduction to Stormfront:
INTRODUCTION

The recent Obama victory and the resultant anti-Obama backlash has caused a lot of Whites to visit Stormfront (readership surged up to 600% normal). Welcome. I was a little caught off guard by this. If I knew this was going to happen, I would have spent more time putting a "welcome post" together ahead of time. Then again, there is no way to cover everything even with a post ten times as long as this one.

And then there is the issue of what exactly to say. There is a lot of disagreement about what "works" (i.e., gets Whites to see and accept the reality we face). Some people think that we should take it easy and focus on "so-and-so" and not mention some other issue or group. Some think "propaganda" should be kept simple and mindless. Some think we should use a hard core religious approach, while others think God should be kept out of it entirely. Some think we should really focus on the negative behavior of Blacks. Others think that we should focus on the positive aspects of White Western civilization and avoid saying any "bad things" about non-Whites. Still others think we should be as crude as possible and really let the N-word fly.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abolition_of_slavery_timeline

The abolition of slavery occurred at different times in different countries. It frequently occurred sequentially in more than one stage - for example, as abolition of the trade in slaves in a specific country, and then as abolition of slavery throughout empires. Each step was usually the result of a separate law or action. This timeline shows abolition laws or actions listed chronologically.

What the hell would the likes of you know about western civilization?
Certainly more than the likes of you or Mona Sahlin/Muslim, who believes it begins and ends with May poles ...

Well, you are totally wrong. Unlike you I paint, write and appreciate music, and am highly educated. Do you think you read like an expert on civilization, Ug?
