Two white guys beaten down by CPD and what happened when they tried to do something about it.

Depressing and rather chilling story. Not quite a NYE party....

Later, after the beating, after the intimidation by police, after the hours and hours spent going through legal documents and telling our story at depositions, after the media fixed us in its gaze and then released us, people still asked us the question. It's always the same question—they want reassurances that what happened to us couldn't happen to them.

"Why did those cops attack you?"

Sometimes it's an honest query; other times it sounds more like an accusation. It's the same sort of question people ask when victims like Ferguson's Michael Brown are killed by the police—what did they to do deserve being targeted?

More than four years after our attack, we still don't know the answer. And we're unable to reassure anyone, regardless of the color of their skin, that what happened to us won't happen to them. All we know is that when we attempted to fight back we found out just how deeply dysfunctional the system can be.

This is irrelevant because it's just anecdotal and therefore might be a one-off statistical outlier and besides why do you hate America?

Yes it is irrelevant, because we all know that police are racist and only black people are targeted by police. Besides, this is a lame attempt to portray that "all lives matter" when we know that only "black lives matter".

If we follow the logic of your argument, then we cannot say that the Nazis persecuted Jews because some of those killed in concentration camps were Christian. Therefore, Nazis were not prejudiced against Jews. The idea that Nazis were prejudiced against Jews is an invention of the far left.

Also, we cannot say that the American government did bad things to indigenous peoples because the American government also killed white and black citizens.

Public Service Announcement? Particularly for those who think their spotless lives will protect them.

I wonder if this was a case of mistaken identity. The cops were "teaching a lesson" to someone, and they accidentally got the wrong people. But obviously couldn't admit to that.

What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

Boss: Sorry, Luke. I'm just doing my job. You gotta appreciate that.
Luke: Nah - calling it your job don't make it right, Boss.

The only people I know trying to salvage the reputation of Nazis are neo-Nazis.

ETA: I just realized I misread part of your post, Underseer. Sorry about that.
