That is what makes both of these things wrong... not a tit for tat. Unless you want to justify a mass shooting at a synagogue that kills dozens of Jewish people, just because there is some aggregate counter in your head you mistake for justice.

Yes. It is wrong to violently oppress many people for decades.

It is wrong to attack innocent people in the US.

But one thing is responsible for the other.

Palestinians killing people in the US is not the reason millions of Palestinians have been violently oppressed for decades.

So?

The real problem is the people who keep funding the terrorism. The Palestinian territories used to be the most prosperous non-oil Muslim nation. That doesn't make for good cannon fodder, though.

Israel would have made peace if they had a partner for peace on the other side. However, most Palestinians want to destroy Israel which is why Hamas, Islamic Jihad and more extreme factions of Fatah (led by terrorist Marwan Barghoutti) are so popular among Palestinians.

Israel has failed to be a legitimate partner for peace.

It has preferred expansion and the horrors of it's oppression and constant attacks to peace.

Except for the little detail that it's always the terrorists that start flinging things. Israel responds by shooting at weapons storage areas and Hamas commanders--and of course gets some human shields in the process. Any Hamas commander who visits their family during times of armed conflict is knowingly using their own family as human shields.
