There, see?

There's no reason to be alarmed about the fact that our rhetoric is making white supremacists feel increasingly safe and bold because God told me he will cure cancer! So we're not emboldening and radicalizing white supremacists with our increasingly heated rhetoric because of a cure for cancer that is definitely, certainly coming soon! It's so soon!

Ugh.

Like most religions, Christianity teaches that faith is a virtue.

Faith is accepting conclusions without evidence.

Only people who have been trained to believe that it is virtuous to accept conclusions without evidence would accept an argument like this without laughing that pastor right out of the room.

You see similar stupidity among Muslim imams. That one imam who argued that driving will cause cancer in your lady parts didn't immediately get laughed right out of a career because Muslims have also been taught that it is virtuous to accept conclusions without evidence or with inadequate evidence.

Faith is not a virtue.

Faith makes it harder for you to tell the difference between a good conclusion and a bad conclusion.

So, does that mean Kunneman is supporting single-payer health care, so that everyone can GET these cures once they become available?

Or, you know, who do we have to shoot to get god to fix healthcare?

Yippee. God's gonna take on cancer AND Alzheimers AND diabetes. Meantime his great book, the Only Road Map Humanity Needs, never mentions germs or boiling water or switching to vapes. But it is careful to tell you not to touch Mom while she's on the rag.

Considering all that has happened in history, God has a whole lot of stuff ''to make up for'' if a ledger is being kept. Perhaps He needs a better bookkeeper.

Since the pastor believes that god is all powerful, why did he allow diseases like cancer and AD in the first place? That guy's god sure has a mean streak. I won't laugh because it's just sad to give false promises to gullible people.

Yup.

Starting with: why do animals get cancer?

The standard excuse is "because of the fall." If that is the case and if God is real, then God is a malevolent monster because all those animals cannot possibly understand what they are being punished for.

The standard answer is "but the Fall."
