The reason people are filming things is because the things that are happening are so out of the ordinary, illegal, unethical, and just scream for "picture or it didn't happen".

They're career criminals who know how the game is played and don't want to become a patsy with no leverage. Indeed, this is well within their realm of 'ordinary' (which is to say, illegal, unethical, etc). It wasn't by sheer luck that Parnas began his recording by focusing on his table setting.

It's become sport, not governance. You know how that works, your team is the beneficiary of a bad call, or gets away with a flagrant foul and nothing is called, but it's all okay and you cheer on your home team.

But if a bad call goes against your team or if the other team gets away with a flagrant violation it's time to rewrite the rules and throw out the referee because he's incompetent. The problem isn't the rules or the teams or the referees, the problem is you because you like to play dirty, cheat so you can win, and you're biased because you have a favorite team.
