I've said several times that it is important to vote against repugs even in local elections. (the non-midterms)
Towit, where I am, PA, has suddenly become a battleground state, THIS election. Over 3 state suspreame court judges.
This week so far, I got one text message from the Democrats and my snail-mail box is begining to fill with MAGA junk about it.
Footnotes in the MAGA BS references Rump's lost lawsuites in Phily, and Democrat (?) gerrymandering in other states.
The current court is 5-2 Democrat. Loosing the 3 dems would flip it.
If you are in PA ... get off your ass and VOTE. Nov 4 / 2025.

Or, maybe the left is growing some balls! Our side has continuously sat on our asses in important elections. Some on the left don't understand the importance of the courts. The right controls every major political group in the country (they also control most state houses, governorships, most state senates, most judiciaries) despite being a slight minority. Time for left to get off their assess and make their vote count.

Good news.
Here in PA. The 3 Democrat state supreme court judges have been retained (reelected) in spite of Rump's campaigning against them. Even in this red state.
With 96% of the vote counted, Retention leads by 23%.
I am takeing this as a sign that midterms in 2026 will go against the repugs.

All three won by almost a 2:1 ratio. Even the D in VA who posted about shooting the state house speaker won. VA elected a Muslim Lt. Governor. If the economy continues to worsen, the only way Rs retain the House next year is if trump cancels the elections.

Not canceling the election, taking the elections to court, post election. The path forward would be contesting the entire delegation of California, saying it was unconstitutional (CA then US) to redistrict as they did. They wouldn't even need to win in court, merely proclaiming it would be enough for Speaker Johnson to mess things up. House Speaker can just ignore the result, because *reasons*. They are already doing a test run with the New Mexico representative who STILL hasn't been sworn in.
