Pissed Palin

I think there are too many Republicans in this country to allow that to happen.

Remember Nixon, he could have an political comeback.

He could? There is that slight problem of his being dead, you know. To my knowledge, despite documentary evidence to the contrary on Futurama, Nixon's head was not preserved in a jar, so he probably is not coming back that way either.

With Obama's drop in the polls the dems will likely lost the senate this fall.

That is what republicans keep telling themselves. Unfortunately for them, polling on republican senatorial aspirations seems to not be bearing that out.

With these developments Romney will looking good to the voters in 2016.

Uh no.

Romney will still be a Mormon, still be the poster child for the billionaire boys club, and still be the candidate that "let that black guy" beat him.

There is no come back there.

As for Palin, she's trying to relevant again. She won't succeed. She has gone from Governor of Alaska to failed reality tv show star. What put her on the national stage was that she was a sitting governor and she was a woman and could counter the blackness of Obama. The Democratic nominee won't be black this time and she's not an unknown property anymore.

So Nixon lost to Kennedy and the California governor race.Like him, Romney can make a comeback. He only lost to Obama by 4 points anyway. The American voters are very fickle. That way I think Romney could be our next president. As for Palin don't underestimate her. Maybe she devoting time to family. We may disagree with her views, but a lot of voters love her and agree with her views. Who knows she might run in 2016.

Reguarding Nixon I was using as an example of politcal comebacks. who knows with the senate anything could happen between now and november.

It's impossible to underestimate Sarah Palin

or it an act on her part. She part of an losing presidental ticket form the 2008 election. she still being talked about six years later. A lot of American love her and what she stands for.

I agree but a lot of voters agree with her views. She may be ditsy but don't underestimate her.

This is a great disservice to the ditsy of the world. Palin benefited and suffered from being in the right place at the wrong time. The GOP needed an unfamiliar face and name to serve as a sacrifice for the party. John McCain had no political future beyond the campaign and no other Republican of note or merit would touch the VP role. Palin's advantage was she was willing to do it. The GOP's disadvantage was she was unknown and there was not time to get to know her. She was inarticulate and that was passed off as "plain spoken." She was poorly educated and that was passed off as "common sense" in the same way high school drop outs in the lower 48 claim to have "street smarts".

It didn't seem to bother her to rail against government handouts for those who do nothing to earn them, while she was born and raised in a state which distributes oil revenue checks to every citizen, regardless of whether they own any land with oil under it, or did any kind of oil related work. The list of these kinds of intellectual feebleness goes on and on, but please don't call it ditsy.

Your right I should not call her ditsy I call it the move of an smart politican.

I'm not sure how the adjective "smart" can be applied in this situation. It certainly benefited her financially to the point she decided to leave office, where there would be serious restrictions on her activities. "Opportunistic" is not a synonym for "smart".

Since she an losing candidate for vice president in the 2008 election, we are still talking about her six years later. That does not happen too often with losing vp candidates. so yes opportunistic is being an smart Politian

Sarah Palin is only smarter than the people that support her.

Which is a dwindling number.

She's a joke and has no political future.

Nixon did not allow himself to be beaten by a black man.
Nixon made a move to the left.
In his reelection campaign, he ran ads that did not include the word Republican, that simply said NIXON for President.
Nixon had 8 years as VP under his belt.
Nixon, having spent so many years in Washington, "knew where the bodies were buried."
Nixon did not have to run against his own healthcare scheme.

As a 6 year old, I attended the Easter egg roll on the white house lawn.

I met President Nixon
I took a group photo with President Nixon
Mitt Romney is no President Nixon.

This is the age of endless news. Before this time, it wasn't possible for a failed VP candidate to stay in the public eye. This is no measure of her merit or other qualities.

Well what about Joe Lieberman 2000,John Edwards 2004, and Ryan 2012 they are not so much in the public eye now. Her ability to stay in the public eye shows her ability.

Yes, she's in the public eye.

For a small amount of people she's a fierce defender of the truth.

For most she's an entertaining moron. An object of ridicule.

I saw CarrotTop on TV last night and Jimmy Swagart this morning. I rest my case.

Mitt Romney is no President Nixon.
If an election between Romney and Obama happed today Romney would win. I also heard he busy campaigning for republican members of congress. Remember, the voters are fickle. Obama only won by 4 points. Between now and 2016 or 2020 any thing could happen. so it likely Romney will be our next president.

uh, no

If the election were held today that would mean there would have been a campaign and Romney would have been talking.

So uh, no.

The GOP has moved more to the right since 2012. Romney in the primaries in order to win would have to out batshit crazy all the batshit crazies. And then turn around months of saying and promising batshit crazy things and present himself as sane during the general election.

uh, no.

Ugh. Likely based on what exactly? Pandering to congress? Cuttin' diamonds with his glass jaw?

Anything can happen, therefore Romney will be out next president? This does not follow.
