As for gender, be what you want, but don't expect us to call you by your preferred pronouns. If you identify as a woman, good for you, but doesn't mean I must stop seeing you as a man.
That's fine. It just makes it easier to know who the asshole is.
you: 'Do you prefer James, Jim, Jimmy?'
them: 'I prefer James'
you: 'Yeah, well I'm going to call you Jimmy the JizzEater'
Only if you were concerned with courtesy and politeness would you refer to people according to their preference. (but it's never a requirement).
