Or Mueller, as an individual who has a strong respect for the rule of law and the truth, could unilaterally release all the documents pertaining to the investigation and throw it to the court of public opinion, rather than letting it all get buried. Sure, it would end his career, but I'm pretty sure that he already expects his career to be over soon.

I think precisely because he has a strong respect for the rule of law that he would not release such documents, unfortunately.
