In fact, many see Senator Graham as a different man now than even during 2016, when he railed against the nomination of Donald Trump as the Republican candidate for President. Some even believe that Trump himself, perhaps during some of the many rounds of golf he has played with Graham since the election, has privately told the 22-year member of Congress about something that could be devastating to his career if it were made public, and warned him against opposing his agenda.

That could never be proven, of course. But Graham’s behavior shift certainly suggests it. And although many people forget it because of the controversy surrounding the DNC hack and the hack of Hillary Clinton’s emails by Russian operatives, the fact is that the Republicans were hacked as well, including Lindsey Graham’s emails.

It is curious that so many Republicans just suddenly do a 180 and support Trump. Yeah, there's party loyalty, but Trump is so fucking toxic in so many ways, that anything gained is going to be very short term.

So asking whether Trump has dirt on some of these people is a legitimate question.

At the same time though, Trumptards will not brook a single disagreement with the Shitgibbon, so it's quite possible these conservative politicians are just trying to keep their job, and hope that the fallout when Trump goes down doesn't kill their career.

It is hard to see Trump winning again. The midterms showed that people have woken up (at least to some degree) to what happens when they don't show up to vote. And given the economy still being in good shape from the Obama years, what's going to happen come 2020 if we're in a slump? Not once has Trump polled above ~46% approval rating, and seems forever anchored in the 35-40% range no matter what the economic perception is.

"Senator Lindsey Graham Under Investigation"

- by the FBI?
- by the Mueller probe?
- by the AG?
- by any organization that matters?

No.

That, and one other shocking possibility that I’ll get to in a moment, are possible reasons that the Democratic Coalition has opened an investigation into Graham’s links to the hostile foreign power that made an attempt at — and partially succeeded in — corrupting American democracy.

The republicans set the precedent for a Benghazi like investigation. You know what I mean: short, fair and non political. That's what we need!

The Benghazi investigation was by Congress, not a partisan hit group. Lindsey Graham will be just fine.

I'm on your side buddy! I'm sure that the worse that could happen after this is a democratic investigation into Lindsey by the democratic congress. The republicans established the criteria for fair, short, and unbiased investigations. I'm just recommending that we follow suit...

I think this is a very important part of the story.

What do the Russians have on the Republicans?

I can't think of anything obvious about Lindsey Graham or Republicans more generally. Could it be pro-Russia positions in exchange for online electioneering?

For pResident Trump, it's rather obvious, I think. It's details of his business failures and of Russian bailouts of him. He seems like John Walker, who spied for the Russians in return for having been bailed out by them.

Congress IS a republican partisan hit group, and has been since 2014. Even now, they're trying to mount a pointless, 100% political, closed door hearing to spread dirt on two ex-government employees. They can't do it in light of day because that will expose not only the facts, but their motivations.
Oh well... this will be the last gasp from the House. Now the Senate is left to their own devices in order to prop up the frog-king and pillory his enemies...
