Has anyone played this game?

It's only $15 on Steam, so I assume that there's not much to this game. I love turn-based tactical games, but it most of the user reviews on Steam are very negative. Supposedly, you can synch your games between this and Civilization: Beyond Earth so that what happens in one game affects the other.

Have any of you tried it? What are your thoughts?

Bad reviews or no, I might check it out anyway. What the hey, it's only $15.
