Wow...the wheels are really falling off the gop clown-car now....

A Republican lawmaker expressed shock and alarm over President Donald Trump’s behavior during a joint press conference following his private meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), the first sitting GOP lawmaker to float the possibility of impeachment, watched the nearly hourlong news conference with the same feeling of trepidation as many other Americans.

“A person can be in favor of improving relations with Russia, in favor of meeting with Putin, and still think something is not right here,” Amash tweeted.

With Republican "dissent," you have to pay attention to what they do, not what they say.

During the Bush II administration, senator McCain spent a lot of time talking about war crimes and why war crimes are bad, but when push came to shove, not only did he not move to impeach President War Crimes, but he kept voting the way President War Crimes wanted him to vote each and every time.

So all his talk about war crimes was just that: talk. When it came time to do something, he voted with the war criminal each and every time.

Right now, McCain is back to publicly criticizing Trump in a big way, so you know damned well that if tomorrow Trump pushed through a bill to retroactively make treason legal, McCain would vote for it.

Yeah, I noticed Jeff Flake did the same kind of thing, even after he'd bowed out of the next act.

"We tried to tell y'all." - Ancient African-American proverb.

What's the surprise here?

Only 14 weeks until election day. The problem for GOP candidates. Do you stand with Trump? Abandon Trump? Shut up all together and hope nobody notices? This is going to be EXTREMELY entertaining to see how this all turns out. This is becoming a bit like a Monty Python sketch from Hell.

The GOP will mumble weak disagreements and run and hide, and do NOTHING about this.

They've already made it clear that they side with Russia over America. They're just posturing right now because the heat is on. I'm sure they'll go right back to calling for an end to the Mueller investigation in a couple of days.
