I’ve mentioned this before, but it bears repeating.

I live in a multi-culti neighborhood in New York City, and it’s great.

Turning south you enter Little Italy and then Chinatown. The street fruit vendors include Vietnamese people. Turning a few blocks over and heading uptown you are in Little Paris, with a French wine bar.

When it’s warm I visit my Muslim Arab halal cart vendor, who piles a ton of falafel on pita bread along with every kind of vegetable you can think of. Price: Five dollars. He is a nice old man who always gives me a big smile and inquires where I have been if I have not been around in a while. So far he has not detonated his suicide bomb cart.

I also mentioned this before: a lot of the problem of Muslim Arabs assimilating in Europe is because they are discriminated against — and I have linked to studies showing this. Stop discriminating against them and maybe they will assimilate just fine, as they do here in NYC, where strong anti-discriminatory measures are in place.

Actually, no. My multiculturalism includes interacting daily with all manner of people in all sorts of ways. One of my best friends is of Guatemalan/Mayan descent who lives in Chinatown, where I know all sorts of lovely people of Chinese descent.

Then CHANGE THE FUCKING IMMIGRATION SYSTEM. For decades it has been acknowledged the immigration system needs to be changed.
