ZANESVILLE, OH -- What started as a fledgling group two springs ago has morphed into something larger than the organizers had ever imagined. The Tall Grass Movement grew out of a local group of people and their disdain for warnings about Ticks and Lyme Disease. The organization holds weekly events during the spring and summer for hiking in tall grasses and brushy woods with only t-shirts and shorts, or for the "hardcore", just a bathing suit.

"The professionals tell us that 20 times more Americans will die from cancer than be diagnosed with Lyme disease every year," noted Todd Rutledge, the Tall Grass movement President. "So why is it too dangerous to be in Tall Grass and the woods? What are they trying to hide?

"Only their motives. They create these scares to keep us indoors and easier to control."

When asked whether any members have gotten bitten by ticks or were diagnosed with Lyme Disease, Rutledge noted "Whatever price our members have or haven't paid is nothing compared to empowerment of reclaiming our lands."

An event just outside of Zanesville had attracted dozens of people in their bathing suits, ready to march off into tall grasses. "I love it!" stated Susan Limmy, a recently new member to the group and attending a hiking event in a two piece bathing suit. "You can appreciate nature in a completely different way when you are a part of these events. I used to fear nature because of what some people said about the outdoors, but now I'm a change person." When asked whether she was dressed enough for hiking in tall grass, she noted "If it is good enough for the beach, it is good enough for here."

The organization estimates over 250,000 people will join together this year to walk in tall grasses and brushy woods. That marks growth of about a magnitude in just a single year. Likewise, ChiggerLuv groups are multiplying in small towns along the coasts in America, which encourage near naked Americans to parade and lounge in beach dunes.

One problem the group faces is often property rights. Areas available to hike in are limited as local, state, or Federal areas are usually protected and many more areas are private. Tall Grasses indicated that they were working with private owners in order to expand areas they could hike. With the organization now accepting dues, Tall Grasses felt that areas that would be available for hiking would increase rapidly.

In spite of the group's growth, Todd Rutledge was adamant to what he viewed was the most important thing for the organization "freedom".

"For too long we've been told where it is safe and where it isn't safe. We want to freely reclaim all of America for Americans."

What a lovely idea! Invite a bunch of idiots to wander around your land, picking up any ticks that might be lurking and carrying them off to whatever hole they crawled out of...
