Yet, in the midst of the 2008/9 financial crisis, the Dums did nothing to reign in the abuses of the H1-B visa system where roughly 240,000 temporary foreign technical workers are working. If those were really rocket scientists as the tech firms whine about needing, they would command high compensation instead of the starting wages of college graduates. If the Dums really cared, they would have done something to reign in the abuses of the H2-B visa program where uber luxury resorts import temporary hospitality workers that somehow cannot be found locally. If the Dums really cared, they would have indexed the minimum wage to a COLA instead of a one time reset. And as the financial crisis played out, the banksters got lots of Get Out of Jail Free cards. If a Repug President had let the CEOs off like the Obama Justice Department did, these same Dums would have been howling to the media about it. Surely the Dums aren't that dumb...
