I know someone who put a wire mesh wastebasket over her router, but this was long before 5g was around. She thought the EMR from the Wifi was going to make her sick or give her cancer. Then she complains to me that her Wifi range isn't what it used to be, and what should she do about it?

The problem goes away if they just hook all of their wireless devices to ethernet cables. :D

Do Faraday cages block *outgoing* radiation?

Well, this IS the freethought humor forum. ;)

In the case of that tweet, though, it was probably 'real' in the sense that there are morons out there with that level of ...understanding... of the world.

Do Faraday cages block *outgoing* radiation?
yes.
They can be used around computers to attenuate any emissions that might be sensitive, limiting the opportunities for intel intercepts.

Also, Faraday bags are sometimes used to shoplift RFID-tagged items.

Not to mention some very expensive ones used in e-forensics...

And they're used for mailing toll transponders. Otherwise you might get charged a toll when the transponder goes through a toll gate in the back of a UPS truck.

In addition: our digestive tract is made for alimentation, not gormandizing. The faithful shall eat nothing but hummus and a porridge of bulgur wheat and barley, to be served with a wafer of clabber cheese and tap water. As with procreation, to eat when asleep is best. (Try to keep the clabber cheese out of the path of the vacuum vagina. It -- the clabber cheese -- is yeasty.) If the children complain and beg for Cap'n Crunch, well, fuck them. It is for salvation.

You'd have to be an idiot to do that... err... twice.

Shit. Just realized the kid got towed off the Turnpike last month...probably got dinged at the toll gates, too.

Wonder if i can convine the adjuster that the tolls should count towards my deductible?
