Trump Admire Hitler

Hitler and Russia simultaneously attacked Poland to kick off bring France and the UK into WWII.
FTFY.

WWII wasn't really a single war, so much as a collection of wars that merged together; And the first of these (the Second Sino-Japanese War) started in July 1937, a full two years before Poland was invaded in September 1939.

Just looking at the European Theatre, the start of "The War" can be defined by a number of events more significant and involving more directly military activity than the politics of a formal declaration of war by the two Great Powers from the victorious side of the Great War.

It makes far more sense to say that the War in Europe began with German invasion of part of Czechoslovakia in October 1938, or even with the German takeover of Austria in March of that year.

The idea that the war "kicked off with the Germans invading Poland", is British propaganda, from an age when the British Empire was in charge of history, and refused to accept the historical importance of any event the British were not directly and officially involved with.

The annexation of the Sudetenland was an act of war, even though Britain wanted to pretend that it was part of a diplomatic process, in which the British Empire graciously permitted Germany to slightly adjust her spheres of influence on her immediate border.
