The light sentences are believed to be, in part, the result of Nader’s 30-plus-year connection to prominent movers and shakers in Washington.

According to testimony Nader gave to a grand jury during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, Nader arranged his first meeting with members of the Trump transition team in December 2016 at Trump Tower in Manhattan.

At the meeting, Nader met with Trump’s son in-in-law, Jared Kushner, then Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon and the Emirati crown prince.

I'm not buying the equivocation. Donald Trump was never an operative or adviser to any of the Clintons or for any of their campaigns.

No one is suggesting that Trump was sharing pics with Nader. That's not the point. This affair illustrates the gross incompetence and naivety of the Trump organization. Any political professional who had handled any campaign greater than city councilmen knows to run a cursory background check on anyone who comes near the candidate. Photos, such as the one you posted will come back to haunt a candidate.

While it's never good to be shown shaking hands with a convicted embezzler, it's absolutely toxic to be seen with a convicted pedophile. It's even worse if said pedophile is actually part of the organization.
