Last year as well, the club applied for permission to hire waiters, housekeepers and cooks.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The organization is required to complete a number of steps in order to hire these foreign workers. It must try to find American workers by "placing help-wanted ads in local newspapers, advertising at job fairs or contacting past applicants" and thus prove that it can't find local workers qualified to do the jobs. If it fails, then it will ask the Department of Homeland Security to issue visas for workers from other countries.[/FONT]
