I think this move of Trump's is going to backfire. The kneejerk Clinton-haters already know this (or hate her for other reasons). More moderate people will either go "meh" or possibly be turned off by attacking a candidate through the candidate's spouse. And more importantly, it opens the door for Clinton supporters to remind people of the allegations of sexual violence and rape against Donald Drumpf.

It backfired on the republicans who tried to throw him out of office 20 years ago. Hard to believe that anyone can be stupid enough to try to hold it against his wife.![]()
The problem with this sort of attack on Clinton is, Trumps brutal treatment of his ex-wife will be fair game and its just as ugly.
Perfectly "rational" if you're Trump or like minded. He's said in the past that Bill's alleged indiscretions were her fault for being unable to 'keep her own man happy' or something to that effect.
The problem is, so is Hillary.Trump being Trump though, Hillary doesn't have to fight dirty. The idiot is a goldmine of ready material to show his ineptitude and unsuitability for office.
Given recent history, it would probably improve his polling numbers.Clinton should start a XM/Sirius station that just plays Donald Trump interviews dating back to the 1980s.
First off, Trump actually Tweeted that?!The problem is, so is Hillary.Trump being Trump though, Hillary doesn't have to fight dirty. The idiot is a goldmine of ready material to show his ineptitude and unsuitability for office.
In Republican polling, yes. But this is the General Election now.Given recent history, it would probably improve his polling numbers.Clinton should start a XM/Sirius station that just plays Donald Trump interviews dating back to the 1980s.
And of course, violent protesters are back in force.
Protests turn violent at Trump’s New Mexico rally
At this point I remember the grassroots "mob" that stormed the Palm Beach Canvassing Board building in 2000. Turned out to be Republican operatives. I don't trust anything with the Trump campaign at this point. They'd stage their own anti-Trump protests. And of course, violent protesters are back in force.

Damnit. I wish those protesters would stay the hell home. Not helping, IMHO.

To be clear, if truly anti-Trump people are protesting, burning shirts and signs, that is bad. Throwing bottles at police horses, that is criminal. It shouldn't happen and it should not be condoned. At this point I remember the grassroots "mob" that stormed the Palm Beach Canvassing Board building in 2000. Turned out to be Republican operatives. Excellent point. If anyone would be the type to do that, it would be John Barron.

Do you really think these rioters are Trump supporters? At this point I remember the grassroots "mob" that stormed the Palm Beach Canvassing Board building in 2000. I am stating I don't know who they are and I condemn their actions (burning and assaulting officers/horses). I can believe there are people protesting Trump in bad ways to criminals ways. I can also believe the Trump campaign would stage a protest. Republicans have done it before.Do you really think these rioters are Trump supporters? At this point I remember the grassroots "mob" that stormed the Palm Beach Canvassing Board building in 2000. Unfortunately Hillary is pretty much made of teflon. Anybody else with her history of lies and bad judgment would have been relegated out of politics a long time ago.And secondly, umm... no. Hillary Clinton has had a ton of stuff thrown at her, but generally, she comes out a little tarnished, but otherwise unscathed. And the stuff on Trump is less insinuation and much more, crap that has come out of his mouth.
Where independents are important and she did poorly with independents. In Republican polling, yes. But this is the General Election now.
