While I'm more than willing to believe this is true, I'm hesitant to take something that gets published in a book first before it breaks naturally.

I agree. It's self-serving and could be dangerous to society. Like Woodward and his Trump tapes admitting the covid was much more dangerous than he was telling the public. Withholding that information probably cost lives.
