The Gazeta article mentions that the information came from Former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Bohdan. I am seeing reports that he recently fled Ukraine for Russia after an interview, but the articles about that only mention statements that he made about Crimea, not what Gazeta is reporting. I wonder if Gazeta is getting that from the interview which caused Bohdan to flee Ukraine, or from after he turned up in Russia. The latter situation would be much more suspect, though his fleeing to Russia makes the whole new story suspect.
