UFO contactee "Billy" Eduard Albert Meier has taken a large number of pictures of extraterrestrial spacecraft, along with several video clips of them. He has also taken pictures of some of his extraterrestrial friends, and some scenes from his time traveling.

Or did he? Skeptics think otherwise, arguing that he took pictures and video of small models, and also pictures from various TV shows and books. Here are some videos by Phil Langdon:

UFO BUST! Episode 2 - Debunking Billy Meier Through Time - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 3 - Debunking Billy Meier's "Pendulum" film - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 4 - Debunking Billy Meier at Ober Sadelegg - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 5 - Debunking Billy Meier at Berg Rumlikon - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 6 - Debunking Billy Meier at Bachtelhornli - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 7 - Debunking Billy Meier at Hasenbol - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 8 - Debunking Billy Meier's WCUFO - YouTube
UFO BUST! Episode 9 - Debunking Billy Meier's Sounds & Samples - YouTube

Each one is several minutes long, so here are some shorter ones:

WCUFO = Wedding Cake UFO

Some of the video is rather blatant, showing UFO's doing a pendulum motion. Which was what they would do if they were models hanging from threads.

Billy Meier is something of a latter-day George Adamski, though BM claims that his ET friends had revealed to him that GA and several other UFO contactees are all frauds. BM is apparently the One True Contactee.

This is what I'd consider good evidence: Meteor Hits Russia Feb 15, 2013 - Event Archive - YouTube -- several people witnessed it from several different vantage points

Just the fact that someone could have all these photographs of UFO's while the rest of us are pushing to see anything unusual in the sky (apart from what may be space junk, etc, fast moving satellite like objects) must raise serious doubts....

Yes, the most reliable reports have been of night lights and other poorly-resolved objects. In fact, the large majority of UFO sightings are sightings of known sorts of objects. There are some that are sightings of very poorly-known ones, like ball lightning. But ball lightning has rarely been seen, let alone photographed, and its name may be a cover for our ignorance about it.

Identification studies of UFOs has a big list. From Allan Hendry's investigations,

  • Astronomical: 42%
    • Bright stars or planets: 29%
    • Meteors, re-entering Earthling spacecraft: 9%
    • Artificial satellites: 2%
    • Moon: 2%
  • Aircraft: 37%
    • Advertising airplanes: 19%
    • Other aircraft: 17%
    • Missile launches: 0.7%
  • Balloons: 5%
  • Birds: 0.5%
  • Clouds, dust: 0.9%
  • Light phenomena (mirage, moon dog, ground lights, searchlights, etc.): 1.1%
  • Other (kites, flares, reflections, windblown debris, etc.): 1.2%
Giving a total of 88.6% identified. The unidentified ones were 8.6% and the unusable cases were 2.8% (insufficient information, inconsistent accounts, unreliable witnesses)

I saw a satellite type of object recently, it looked a bit brighter than an average satellite, but it was moving across the sky at faster rate, no diversion from its course, no running lights like an aircraft. I assumed it was space junk in low orbit, moving very rapidly.

I always try to cite the source: https://xkcd.com/1235/

You wouldn't want to deprive people of the mouseover text in a Xkcd comic, would you?

Thanks, I should have done that.
