Wait... what now?

1. 'Fart' means 'lucky' in Polish. 'Slut' means 'final' or 'The End' in Swedish.
2. The second line of (I Just) Died in Your Arms is "It must have been something you said", not what I've always wanted it to be, "Musta been something I ate." Even though I know my line can't be right, I think of it every time that awful song comes on the radio, and then I remember the correct words. Awful Eighties Music, court exhibit 1.
Hey now. Don't be hatin' on 80s music. It was shit, but it was OUR shit! You can just suck my Unskinny Bop. (Yes, probably the absolute worst song to come out of the 80s, that I still sing along with.) ;)
I thought that was "We Built This City (On Rock And Roll)" by Starship. :sick-green:

This isn't quite as obvious, but I just learned The Fifth Element and Frozen II overlap... a lot! In my defense, I didn't pay much attention to Frozen II.

Granted, if you have a female protagonist, you probably are going to bump into Luc Besson here or there, but still, the similarities with The Fifth Element go well beyond that.
Thanks to that movie, whenever I heat up chicken in the microwave, I think of this scene:

I saw Milla in an episode of Married... With Children early in her career.

Tia Carrere and Matt LeBlanc too.

Nope. Too fluid. We have different dialects on either side of Massachusetts, and it's a tiny, tiny state, arguing over how many Rs are pronounced in Worchester, car, and pizza.
Do people really say "Peetzer?"
Worchester... the argument is over proouncing it Wooster or Worster.
Car or Caw (and then arguing if it's caw or cah)
Peeza, peetza, peetzar, yes.

Just sprinkle r's randomly over a page of text, then delete every thi'd one, you have Mass. diar-logue.
When we moved from Long Island to Ct in the 50s kids made fun of my speech.

I said kah for car and ge-ass for gasoline. Emphasis on the ge.

When I moved to Portland Or in 1 979 it was a different language of sorts. In the store soda was pop and bags were sacks. Different names for submarine sandwich than I was used to.

I meandered through the upper mid west. I did not realize until then dialect and regional music. Chicago music on the radio was distinctive.

When I used to drive form Seattle to Portend music changed as I picked up Portland area stations.
