Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

Hardly. Trump secured trade visas for KFC to open restaurants in Omsk and Novosibirsk. Also Tomsk, after Trump found out it wasn't a misspelling for Omsk. All that in LESS THAN 24 HOURS, people. Putin agreed not to try to learn the identities of the 11 herbs and spices.
Now, that's finger lickin' khoroshiy.

Odd, I always thought having all the cards put you in charge, not result in being someone's bitch. I'll need to remember that.

"We're going to be redoing the parks, redoing the grass," Trump said on Aug. 13 as he named the latest slate of Kennedy Center honorees from Washington's John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. "You know, grass has a lifetime, like people have a lifetime. And the lifetime of this grass is long. It's been gone, when you look at the parks. The grass is old, tired, exhausted," Trump said. "We're going to be redoing the grass with the finest grasses. I know a lot about grass because I own a lot of golf courses. And if you don't have good grass, you're not in business very long."

I'm loosing my healthcare for THIS?

Speaking of not having any cards... this bloated moron has no cards and no marbles.

My new theory is that this meeting was a chance for Putin ("remember, sir, it's pronounced poo-tihn') to personally assess the mental decline of our president. He rode in a car with him, met with him for 3 hours, and if Grandpa was sundowning, probably came away from the summit very pleased. Allegedly, the White House staff was dejected, with Leavitt described as "ashen, almost frightened"

Obviously Putin's brain trust told him just what to tell Trump to keep him from going into Machotrump mode. What impressed Trump totally -- he described it to Hannity like it was his big takeaway -- was Pootie telling him that he had obviously won the 2020 election and that those damn mail-in ballots caused the fraud. He instantly had Trump on his side. Our President has no idea when he's being played. You flatter him and convince him he's the victim of unjust, corrupt enemies and he rolls over for his belly rub. What a douche.

Washington, D.C., has one of the Highest Rates of Crime in the World, more than many of the most violent Third World Countries. The City's Homicide Rate is higher than places notorious for their violence, such as Mexico City, Bogota, Islamabad, and Addis Ababa Almost ten times higher than Fallujah, Iraq. If D.C. were a State, it would have the highest Homicide Rate of any State in America. The Violent Crime Rate in D.C. has worsened, and the Murder Rate has essentially DOUBLED in just over a decade But these are only the "official" statistics released by corrupt City Officials. The REAL numbers are many times worse. In fact, a Precinct Commander was just suspended for allegedly manipulating the Violent Crime Statistics, and the D.C. Police Union, likewise, says the real numbers are much higher. Because the Democrat Government of D.C. has largely stopped investigating, arresting, and prosecuting most Crime, the published statistics don't even capture a fraction of the actual Violence. No one is arrested for shoplifting. Citizens living in fear have largely given up on calling the Police, instead choosing not to walk the streets after dark, essentially becoming captive prisoners in their own City. Stores lock up their merchandise behind glass walls. Gang Youth Violence is so common it goes largely unreported. Vehicle Theft in D.C. is more than three times the National Average. Schools are completely dysfunctional. Citizens are afraid to speak up or, call the Police, lest they be targeted. The REAL Crime Rates are probably five to ten times what has been reported. D.C. has been under siege from thugs and killers, but now, D.C. is back under Federal Control where it belongs. The White House is in charge. The Military and our Great Police will liberate this City, scrape away the filth, and make it safe, clean, habitable and beautiful once more!

Isn't it pronounced /py.tɛ̃/ just like French 'putain'?
Could be snark, but no. The n is not silent.

Trade experts say such a deal, where a company essentially pays the US government to export a good, could destabilize trading relations. Martin Chorzempa, a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, said that it creates “the perception that export controls are up for sale”.

“If you create the perception that licenses, which are supposed to be determined on pure national security grounds, are up for sale, you potentially open up room for there to be this wave of lobbying for all sorts of really, dangerous, sensitive technologies,” Chorzempa said. “I think that’s a very dangerous precedent to set.”

Though the White House announced the deal, it technically hasn’t been rolled out yet, likely because of legal complications. The White House is calling the deal a “revenue-sharing” agreement, but critics point out that it could also be considered a tax on exports, which may not be legal under US laws or the constitution.

The “legality” of the deal was “still being ironed out by the Department of Commerce”, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters this week.

He loves to fuck things up and claim victory.

This is probably behind a pay wall. Boston Globe. An opinion piece by Jeff Jacoby, a massive conservative that I usually can't stand, like John Bolton, who despises Trump. But glad to hear prominent conservatives calling out Trump as scum.

He explains that the term Trump Derangement Syndrome applies more to MAGAturds than to people who despise Trump because:

The real Trump Derangement Syndrome shows up in three telltale symptoms.

First is the cult-like worship that treats Trump as infallible — his acolytes profess adoration not only for what he does, but for whatever could flow from him.

Emblematic of that mindset are the “Trump Was Right About Everything!” baseball caps, which the president himself prominently displayed in the Oval Office in February 2025. The caps are intended less as a joke than as a badge of faith. They echo Trump’s infamous boast about being able to “stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and [not] lose any voters.”

...

Second is the abandonment of principles that once seemed non-negotiable.

Conservatives and Republicans who used to champion free trade now cheer Trump’s tariffs. Those who formerly prized NATO as a linchpin of global security today nod in agreement when Trump disparages America’s allies.

...

Third is the unsettling delight so many supporters take in Trump’s most outrageous behavior — a kind of giddy worship that equates offensiveness with authenticity. Such brazenness has been a hallmark of his political career

..from mocking John McCain’s Vietnam War heroism to charging undocumented immigrants with “poisoning the blood of our country” to calling for “one really violent day” to end property crime. The more extreme the rhetoric, the more MAGA true believers praised it — as if outrage were the highest form of loyalty. The Trump hard core doesn’t just tolerate or excuse infamy; many revel in it.

It's good to see arch-conservatives turning on Trump. The country can deal with arch conservatives, as much as I disagree with them. But Trump is a Pestilence intent on destruction of all that's good. I worry whether only only conservatives can break his hold.
