I believe that the maximum value of a foreign gift that the president is allowed to keep is $525. Is that worth more that $525? Will Trump hand it in? No way. The fucking Felon will pocket it.

Trump just flubbed his way through his meeting with Zelenskyy, at various points referring to the "Islamic Republic of Japan," repeatedly calling Zelenskyy "President Putin," and railing against the "JCPOC"

Meanwhile, Trump tells a whopper about why he's taking the old plane back from Turkey instead of Qatar-Force One:

“To honor our brave men and women of the Military, we are sending the brand new, and truly spectacular, Air Force One to Mildenhall Air Force Base, in the United Kingdom, to give them a chance to tour the Aircraft — Everybody is so excited, and we thought that they should be the first,” he wrote on Truth Social.


“For old time’s sake, we’ll be taking the former Air Force One, from Turkey to Mildenhall, a short trip that is totally worth doing in order to give our Great Military Heroes a chance to appreciate our beautiful new addition to the Air Force Fleet!” he added.

Worth noting that he doesn't give a flying fuck (pun intended) about the military, and the idea that they're all just sitting around at base wishing they could tour his floating palace is laughable. I'm guessing that one of the few remaining competent people in his "Department of War" figured out that the plane isn't safe enough to fly from the Middle East back to DC, and the sycophants around Trump convinced him that this excuse would fool everyone.

Judge gives smack down to Dept of In-Justice's corrupt deal with Trump to give him, his family and his business immunity from tax frauds.

Williams’ 56-page opinion blasted the behavior of both the Justice Department — arguing that the administration’s response to the case disregarded DOJ policies and potentially the law — and of the private attorneys who brought the lawsuit on Trump’s behalf.

“The nature of the suit itself and the conduct of the Parties and counsel from its filing make plain that this was an attempt to use the Court to provide some legitimacy to an agreement to confer immunity to people and entities affiliated with the President and to earmark billions of dollars from American taxpayers to redress grievances not defined in the law,” the judge wrote.

She ordered that her opinion be submitted to attorney disciplinary boards in in New York and Washington, DC, that are currently reviewing pre-existing professional ethics complaints against acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward.

In 2016 I remember thinking that it would take about a year or so before the Shitgibbon would be removed for self dealing (among other things). The Emoluments Clause would ensure it. Surely, even the GOP would vote to remove him from office. After all, none of them liked him and he was a disgrace to the entirety of American politics and the nation itself. Any support for him at the time was obligatory, but when they could get rid of him and put him in the past ASAP, they'd follow the laws of the Constitution.

It became clear a long time ago that our founding documents and laws stemming from it mean exactly jack shit. It's possible that none of this happens if Ford hadn't pardoned Nixon because it would've created case law that could have been acted upon and used against Trump. Instead, there simply isn't any precedent with respect to what to do with the Executive branch.

In law school we never studied the Executive because there was nothing there to study. It's not on the essay, the multiple choice, nor on the performance test.

For all the things covered in Conlaw, the Executive isn't one of them because again, there's so little relevant case history, which is why I mentioned Ford pardoning Nixon.

Now we're fucked and it's difficult to see how we get unfucked.
