Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

I wonder if they have three boutique social media posts written up for Trump, ahead of the Fed announcement on rates, one praising the Fed for cutting the rate, one heavily criticizing the Fed for leaving as is, and one castigating to hell the Fed for increasing it where Trump considers getting rid of the Fed and taking over money policy.

As things stand, the bond market is telling the Fed to stop messing around and raise rates. The bond market isn't buying Trump's lies for MAGA on Iran.

The “bond market” knows it has skin in the game and it adverse to pain, so it is not going to give any credence to Trump’s tantrums.

The Interior Department is preparing about a dozen signs, expected to cost roughly $7,000 apiece, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum disclosed in a Sept. 3 letter to Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon), the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations subcommittee with jurisdiction over Smithsonian funding. Burgum said the signs, which he described as temporary, have not yet been finalized.

The letter provides the clearest indication since Trump issued the order in July that his administration intends to carry it out — and it offers new details about what visitors may encounter. Burgum said the signs would provide visitors with information about the viewpoints of museum curators, whom he accused of turning the museum from a place that “accurately and coherently” tells the nation’s story into a vehicle for “personal, radical ideologies.”

“The informational signage therefore will provide visitors with important context about the exhibits they are about to encounter and the personal viewpoints that the curators of the exhibits are seeking to advance,” Burgum wrote.
Spending $7,000 per sign to say that?!

I was listening to AM Radio this morning and they are just one or two neurons away from putting Trump atop the reasons why the Fed increased interest rates. They appear to have the tariffs and fuel prices as the issues. They had an economist on who was doing their best to spin while being technically honest on the math of economics.

This is the worrying part.

President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve agreed to a significant increase in interest rates — demanding that they do the opposite and make a massive cut instead.

"Interest Rates in the United States should be 1%, or less, because we are the Best Credit in the World — BY FAR," wrote Trump.
There are two massive problems here. And while Trump BS's all the time, I think this statement is how he actually feels.
1) He seems to think the Fed sets the bond rate. While they can influence the bond rate or react to the bond market (as this hike was designed), the Fed doesn't set the bond rates. That'd be the free market. Nations and massive banking institutions. Not understanding this is quite dangerous because...

2) Trump's entire business philosophy is about debt. He has killed every company with it. Junk bonds are his type of bonds and he wants to issue more US debt to... I'm not certain what. It isn't like he has a grand vision of expanding US *insert something*. He just wants the status quo with cheaper debt. Doesn't want to control spending. Doesn't want to aim spending towards a particular aim. He just wants cheaper debt so he can have more debt. He is leading America down the same path he led his casinos down. Utter ruin.

JFCoaS! This, to me, is impeachable. Or at least a sign that Trump should be kept to the side putting gold leaf up in the White House while the adults do the work. Of course, Treasury Secretary Bessant seems to have a forward outline on finances that goes out roughly 2 or 3 decades ago. Canadian PM Carney is out trying to figure out how to expand Canada quickly and is developing the plans for raising capital, making stronger alliances with allies and not so allies in order to reduce Canadian reliance on the US, all in a very short period of time. Bessant... just keeps saying things used to work so... *profit*

Trump is showing a shockingly ignorant understanding of trade. And no one is stopping him. This is why interest rates are going up, despite the GDP not. Stagflation anyone?

"The word 'Deficit' is nothing more than a fancy word for LOSS," Trump continued. "We are 'carrying' almost every country in the World, and that cannot go on any longer. LOWER THE INTEREST RATES FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND FAST!"
So his solution is to make US debt cheaper... so the US can... *profit*.

35% of the nation approves of this nonsense.

He doesn't understand what a trade deficit is so his solutions do not address the non-problem.

Of course Canada buys fewer US products than we buy from Canada. Their population is much smaller than the US population. They have a huge amount of standing timber that can be harvested. that's why the biggest amount of products we buy from Canada is wood based. That's not a problem, unless you don't like capitalism.

He doesn't want to understand. It allows him to do his fucked up stuff.

He has to be aware that he's wrong but he does not want to know for selfish reasons.

The media says The Fed increased rates. But that is half the story. The Fed just increased its rate by a quarter percent... not because of trying to control economic growth from causing inflation... but because of the results of Trump's trade and military actions. This is somewhat unprecedented. And the GOP still remains silent!

The US President, in nearly a century hasn't impacted the US economy as Trump has, and back then, we didn't quite know better yet. Presidents are usually along for the ride and get blamed for low GDP/ high inflation and praised for high GDP / low inflation. Trump is causing our economic pains.. and continues doubling down on it. He wants to punish Europe for Europe and Canada trying to resolve economic worries due to his bloody tariffs.

Trump is Putin's tool. And Xi's amazing gift. I wonder if Trump knows it.

Trump was photographed aboard Air Force One on Wednesday night examining a large printout about the Kennedy Center whose partially visible title appeared to read “Kennedy Center DEMOLIS[HED],” hours after he warned that the performing arts venue could eventually be “ripped down” without his intervention.

The photographs, taken by AFP photojournalist Brendan Smialowski after Air Force One landed at Joint Base Andrews, show Trump looking down at the large printout through an aircraft window. The beginning of a red headline reading “Kennedy Center DEMOLIS” is visible, but the rest of the word and other portions of the document are obscured.
Who needs vandalism, when President Trump is destroying DC all by himself.

The SCROTES should tell the Felon he can tear it down, but only if the whole thing is renamed for him first, and sufficient funds are set aside for a bigger, better Kennedy center without his name on it.
