I've been streaming The Eagles over the past few days on my way to and from work. I also watched the "History Of The Eagles" doc again on the Netflix.

I actually met Glenn Frey once. Well, sort of. We were both at the same condiment bar at a restaurant at Disneyland and I looked at him and he looked at me and I gave the universal sign of " 'sup?" and he nodded back at me. We had a moment.

Anyway, the documentary really gives you an insight into just how much effort Frey and Henley put into their songs. And the fact that they were kinda terrible people. At least to each other.

Fun fact: The Eagles got back together because of a country singer. Back in the late 90s there was a tribute album called "Common Thread" where country artists covered Eagles songs. Probably the best one was Clint Black's version of "Desperado," but when the record label wanted to make a video for Travis Tritt's cover of "Take It Easy," he insisted that the only way he'd do so is if The Eagles themselves appeared in the video.

Somehow the management of the warring former Eagles pulled it off, they all showed up for the shoot, and that's the moment when they all realized that there was still something there.

And so that's how that happened.
