What music are you listening to right now? (Warning: Lotsa videos)

Choose Life, PF Project featuring Ewan McGregor.

Choose life . . . But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

Last night I downloaded 4 Dead and Company concerts. 12/31/19, 1/16/20, 1/18/20 and 1/19/20. If they are anywhere as good as the 2019 summer tour, they will be awesome. 1/19 was the last concert before C19 hit. I had tickets for two nights at Fenway Park August 2020 but obviously they were canceled.

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Genesis

Been giving Genesis a try. It is working out pretty well.

I also tried giving Rick Wakeman a try. My god... what in the hell is wrong with his casting of singers? With the exception of Return to the Center of the Earth and 1984, he picks awful singers. I tried listening to Six Wives of Henry the VIII, and the production sounds cheap and then vocalists come in and... I just can't stand it. Saw he had a lot of live material on Spotify and tried listening to Buried Alive (Ozzy Osbourne sang the original track on the album and it was really good), and it was just awful. There are few keyboardists that can play with the speed of Wakeman, but clearly, he seems to be limited in certain ways as an artist.

God is an Astronaut came out with Ghost Tape #10, which sounds like it is expanding from their last album.

Steven Wilson has released The Future Bites, the most controversial album ever released, depending on who you talk to. It has some catchy riffs, but overall it is lacking, it feels a lot like Blackfield-Lite... and Blackfield is Porcupine Tree-Lite.

I love the song but also the video made for this one. Gotta go! In the middle of hood liquor run!

Growing up in Detroit, this band got a decent amount of airplay on the rock radio stations. Yeah, he was from Cleveland, but their music was a lot like the local bands that made it on the radio like The Romantics, The Rockets, and a few other bands you probably never heard of. He wasn't local, but the band was adopted as one of our own. The radio DJ's I grew up with introduced their songs with the same enthusiasm as bands like The Look or Bittersweet Alley, and sold the hell out of their shows at Harpos.

A few days ago, the namesake of the band passed away. He transitioned to being a "classic rock" DJ on the radio in Cleveland for many years, and left a heartfelt farewell letter to his fans before he checked out. RIP Michael Stanley.
