Thanks to a discussion on another board, I was reminded of these guys:

It has been almost 20 years since they had a top 10 hit with their version of this song, and I got to interview them (and have them sing on my radio show) in late '94. There's something about acapella R&B/doo-wop that just makes me smile, and they were really, really good at it. In fact the lead singer recorded his vocal track on the record in one take.

It was around Christmas time, and off air they warmed up with the Christmas Song ("chestnuts roasting on an open fire...") and I really wish I'd been rolling tape on that.
