I think some people have never been around Hispanics and blacks.
I know a little Spanish. If a couple of Hispanics do not like a white guy or are agitated by a white guy the word 'blanco' comes up. Analogous to nigger. Blacks who I know and do not consider racist can mouth anti white slurs ion occasion when agitated.
The highlighting of every expression interpreted as racist has become an obsessions. Moral grandstanding.
'blanco' is NOT the white version of 'nigger' ffs![]()
I know from experience. Maybe not as strong as nigger, but a slur in a context from a Latino. Don't be a pendejo.
My point tolerant people from any culture may mouth an epithet at times without being racist. No culture is immune. This growing political correctness IMO is dangerous. The media is becoming the thought police.
In the early part of the Obama years there was a stretch when it seemed like every few days somebody's speech was being twisted into racism and the person labeled as a racists. Demands made for apologies. It even happened to a black political appointee who was thrown under bus for a comment, she was fired later acknowledged as a mistake by the admin for getting rid of her and offered her job back. It has gotten out of hand.
I watched a speech by a blck political apointee who started to aunch into an anti white tirade, but caught herself.
There is so much of it real issues like Trump's demeaning speech gets lost in the noise.
I take meals with a black guy 76 who grew up in Jim Crow Louisiana. A couple of white guys at a nearby table complained to the staff he was vocally racist. I knew him for a year and a half and know him well. Ne is not racist but if you did not know him you could interpret him sometimes as racist. When he talks about someone he might say John, who is a Jew ...or Bill who is a white guy. He frames everything in the context of race. He could say 'You know how those Mexicans are'.
To label the issue as soley white is an ignorant view.
