Found this non-shy guy out in Lovell Canyon, Nevada. There were many lizards that day but this is the only one that didn't scurry off as I approached. He's also the biggest one I saw.
These dudes hang out here from May through July or August. Males show up first, then the females which are an awesome pea-green yellow color. They used to be extremely shy but after years of feeding them they’re quite relaxed around us.
This female grey wolf and male brown bear were spotted every night for ten days straight by a Finnish photographer, spending several hours together between 8pm and 4am. They would even share food with each other.
Sampson was a Shire horse gelding foaled in 1846 in Toddington Mills, Bedfordshire, England. He was the tallest and heaviest horse ever recorded, at 21.25 hands. Owned by Thomas Cleaver, Sampson stood 7 ft 2 in high by the time he was four years old, when he was renamed Mammoth.
