She did not say that she wants to end Selective Service altogether (which she could easily have done in response to that question if she really believed that), so no, your apologetics doesn't work. The natural reading of her response is that she wants to maintain the sexist status quo.

I know plenty of feminists who support selective service registration for women. As in any movement, there is not unanimity on any issue among the supporters. For example, there are feminists who are also pacifists, so they are against people going to war.
