I have been catching up on some US politics (it's more crazy and entertaining than Canadian politics) and I have noticed that after almost every time I watch any video on this topic, the next one to autoload is from MSNBC. If I let it run on and leave the room, without fail, I return to see Rachel Maddow on the screen.

Is this a YouTube bias or is it just because of the particular videos I have watched? Have any of you noticed other particular shows always being loaded up for you more than others?

Are these shows paying YouTube for this?

Likely based on your history, what is popular, what has been recently added, and what whacko left-wing stuff the major Google (Alphabet) corporate conglomerate wants to indoctrinate you on.

you can clear your history if you want.

MSNBC will always be preferenced over many other channels because people are apt to hit the notification bell for their page, which counts for a lot in the YT algorithm. And the other relevant user actions. Youtube likes active engagement by watchers and rewards those who are good at inspiring it.

Ah that explains it. One minute I'm watching wildlife videos and then I leave the room and do some laundry and return to see Rachel Maddow excited about the latest Trump thing.
