Politics Is it time for the west to assemble an army and kick Putin out of Ukraine?

Should the west declare war on Russia and deploy active troops in Ukraine.

  • Yes. The sooner we attack the better.

  • No. Ukraine will be able to defend themselves on their own.

  • It's what the lizard people want you to think.

Wow. Supply troops as well. That's exactly the opposite direction of where we should go.

Are you having problems purchasing an airline ticket to Ukraine to help them out?
Why do you think that is the opposite direction we should go?
Because, even if we assume that your current direction is kinda right (it isn't), throwing good money after bad is never a good idea. It's time to cut your losses.
Using Ukraine to hurt Russia has failed.
And again, your side are the bad guys, not Russia, eventually public will see that.
Nobody is trying to hurt Russia. They never have. We're only trying to make Russia stop hurting another country.

Dude, you are literally becoming the "Are we the baddies" meme. It's just sad man.
Go find WMD in Iraq.
Reality is, public in the west is already aware that the king has no clothes.
Corrupt political establishment/media keep pretending that Russia is some galactic evil, but it does not correspond well to public opinion in the west, let alone the rest of the world where even their (corrupt) political establishment is not buying your shit.
I agree with this. But agreeing with that doesn't mean that Putin isn't evil or that the war is justified.

Corrupt political establishment/media keep pretending that Russia is some galactic evil,

Nah. You try to glorify Putler too much.
He’s just a regional evil aspiring to be a global evil.

but it does not correspond well to public opinion in the west

You know nothing of public opinion in the west. Pretty much everyone but a few hardcore trumpsuckers knows Putler is evil, and can’t wait for him to kick the bucket so Russia can re-join the human race.

Putin is less evil than most of your politicians.

So what is your evidence of this? Do you have any actual arguments?

At least you are now realising Putin has as much credibility as W Bush. Baby steps, I suppose.
Where did you get this stupid idea?
You were comparing Putin's justification for invading Ukraine with Bush's bullshit reason for invading Iraq, along with pointing out how most of the West (hell most of the world) knows he's a lying cunt i.e. King with no clothes.

No, I was merely pointing out that the Western regimes are actually evil here and Russia is not.

Secondly, if Ukraine had fallen early, most likely Russia would have attacked the Baltics and/or Poland; and NATO would be engaged in conventional combat against Russia (if we were lucky).

Evidence?
My evidence is the comments from Putin; his cabinet; most of his government; the Chezenya nazis; and of course the Russian press. Alas, you are right though, my sources are mostly for shit.
As reported by CNN?

First, we aren't using Ukraine to hurt Russia. We are hindering Russia's efforts to hurt Ukraine.

Second, it seems to be very effective. Our weapons are blowing up far more value in Russian hardware than they cost.

The Iraq WMD was an intel failure. The problem was that we were intercepting reports from underlings about WMD--we didn't realize said underlings were lying to Saddam.

Sure, that's all it was, an intel failure. It wasn't making up intel to convince the public to support a war.

Wait, actually it was, and I remember thinking we wouldn't find the WMDs even before the US sent troops in.

Kinda like how Putin lied about his reasons for invading Ukraine, something curiously you don't give a fuck about.

Just to reiterate - I'm not saying you support Putin. I'm saying you don't give a fuck about a fascist dictator invading another country and showing no interest in stopping at that one country. Something that historically speaking is never a good sign for anybody.

I live in the USA and GWB was the president of the USA, so therefore I had a very vested interest in what he chose to do. I opposed just about everything he chose to do, but I had a vested interest in it.

What country do you consider your primary responsibility?

What country do you consider your primary responsibility?

Patookonia of course. And yes it is a real nation. Got a flag and everything.

Snide remarks aside, I also consider myself a restoftheworld-ian. And as such I recognise Putin's actions will have a significant impact of global stability, and Australia is part of the globe. Food and other commodities are being affected by this, stability and market certainty is being affected by this and it makes far more sense to nip this on the bud now than after Putin consolidates his holdings of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Romania and proceeds to expand outwards.

Which leads me to ask you, for the fifth time, do you believe that the US should do nothing about Russia until Russia is on their doorstep?

First, you absolutely do. Your shithead generals and politicians admit exactly that.
Even your nazi puppets in Ukraine admit that. Your own academics admit that.
Everyone except your corrupt media admit that.

Second, it seems to be very effective. Our weapons are blowing up far more value in Russian hardware than they cost.
That's what you keep saying to yourself.
In reality, Russia gets more due to high oil/gas prices.
Not to mention Russia gets your weapons really cheap. I mean dirt cheap.

The whole thing was devised by neocons to hurt Russia one way or another. It turned out the opposite, it hurts more the West than Russia. Russia can sell its gas/oil just fine but at much higher price.
The more you insist on staying the course the less of Ukraine you will have left to rule over.
