How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Thanks for explaining that. I had no idea why he brought up McCain and why that had anything to do with the conversation
I had to Google it.
Your crappy memory is no excuse.
I don't need an excuse. I'm not responsible for what foreign politicians say, and nor am I in any way in need of an excuse for agreeing with anyone who says Russia is responsible for this pointless and stupid war.

Your gas station couldn't even successfully get troops to Kyiv
They never attempted that.

There are many drone videos of Russia's 20 mile long military convoy aimed at Kyiv being relentlessly destroy by Ukranian forces. Many various pieces of equipment running out of gasoline and being abandoned. Yes. Russia attempted that. And utterly failed with heavy losses. A textbook example of military incompetence. And then we have the total destruction of Russia's paratroopers at the airport take over attempt.

That happened a year ago and it is basically a lie, your interpretation is a lie, your own generals admitted that.

Your government is an ally of criminal regime in Washington, hence criminal as well.

We slowly learning how it was possible for Patriot system to launch all its ammo (32 rockets) in a few seconds.

Well, it does not look good for american Millitary Industrial Complex.
According to people who know shit and analyzed the tape and data about Patriot operation concluded that Russians used 1, I repeat ONE Kinzhal missile. Again, one! only one Kinzhal missile. Plus one electronic warfare missile.
Who are these "people who know shit"? Some morons at the Youtube comments section again? And how did they determine the types of the missiles from night footage? What footage is that exactly?

Russia never fires just one or two missiles. The fact that there were one or two explosions on the ground, means that at most two missiles (or debris) got through. What do you think happened to all the other ones? Do you think they turned back and returned to Moscow to report? No. They were all shot down.

What happened American wunderwaffe launched 32 rockets into that electronic warfare missile in fully automatic regime, failing to hit it,
that missile then fell onto Patriot (small explosion on the tape). Then actual Kinzhal with actual warhead hit your precious wunderwaffe (large explosion)
I seem to recall the smaller explosion happened after the large one, but could be wrong. Can't find quickly the video I thought showed two explosions, most clips that are circulating in the internet have only one. But it wouldn't be the first time when Russian propaganda doctors videos to change the order of events to fit their fictional narrative.

Patriot seems to have won that duel, or at least managed to survive to fight another day.

Yep, they never attempted it. Your own generals admitted that.
Source?

or let me guess... it's something you heard mentioned in passing in a 2 hour propaganda video on youtube.

Maybe next time you hear these tinfoil hat conspiracy theories, press pause and google for it at the time, and 9 times out of 10 you'll find that you're being fed utter and complete bullshit. You've been caught numerous times in this forum trying to peddle all sorts of silly claims that turned out to be false, and this claim that some generals "admitted" that Russia never tried to take Kyiv is quite likely one of them.

It's a fact that Russians had written orders that showed Kyiv was supposed to be caught in three days, and som of them even brought their parade uniforms with them. Putin didn't really expect his 3-day war to be stretched out to 400+ and counting.

Apparently Ukraine may have used Patriot to shoot down not just missiles, but "faraway Russian fighter jets":

Defense officials and congressional staffers told CNN that Ukrainian troops have in recent weeks used the US-made Patriot air defense system to shoot down at least one faraway Russian fighter jet. The Russian jets have largely been staying behind Russian defensive lines, making them difficult for Ukraine to target with shorter-range systems like NASAMs.

This is interesting, because it might mean that the incident in Bryansk recently where 5 Russian aircraft were destroyed might not have been friendly fire. It happened over 150 km inside Russian borders. Of course Russia would never admit that Ukraine has that capability, but it could explain why Russia was so hell-bent on targeting the Patriot system in Kyiv

You seriously insist on that theory that russians are so retarded that they were trying to fight and occupy Kiev?
Yes, they are that retarded. They took Crimea in 2013 successfully with minimal resistance, and thought it would be easy to repeat. Also in 2022 in some cities like Kherson there was really not much fighting due to the element of surprise.

Dude, you do realize that Zelensky&Co were planning to capitulate even before Russians entered Ukraine? (and russians knew that)
Yes, we now know that for sure.
But then Americans and British told him officially "we will not support you if you surrender"
Unofficially, they told him: We will give you the full support, money, weapons, you can do whatever you want, full immunity from anything, and we will save you in case russians overrun you, but you have to fight russians.

Basically they bought that bastard.
Yes, russians miscalculated there, they underestimated western "elite" hatred for Russia.
Zele sold his country for a mansion in Miami and a couple of hundreds of millions of US dollars.

It was a Russian military disaster the whole world witnessed. The vaunted Russian paratroopers destroyed at that airport. Russia defeated and pushed out of Kharkiv. Defeated and forced out of Kherson. Moskva sunk. Sorry. But Putin's dream the Ukraine would meet the Russians with cheers and flowers did not happen. This will be a tragedy for Ukraine and Russia for years to come.

It was a Russian military disaster the whole world witnessed.
It was interpreted that way by corrupt western media.
In reality it was not as bad as your corrupt media pictured. In any case, I explained why and what actually happened.
Russian forces did not expect real resistance and were for the most part highly restricted in their freedom to engage the "enemy"
Well, they made mistake which was then rectified and now ukrainian forces are being systematically exterminated.

Your own generals admitted that.
Which Australian General has even commented?
Your american superior generals admitted that.
Australian ones most certainly admitted that but since it's different hemisphere It does not get to news.
I genuinely don't have any American generals, superior, inferior, or otherwise.

Pretty much the entire focus of the news, here in Australia, is Australian news.

Probably. They're still not my responsibility though.

Australia and the whole western world is under effective US control.

You seriously insist on that theory that russians are so retarded that they were trying to fight and occupy Kiev?
An observation is not a "theory".

It happened.

We all saw it.

The Russians were exactly so retarded. Your incredulity changes nothing about this fact.
It absolutely 100% did not happen.
Russian side DID NOT plan on actually fighting their way into Kiev.
Actual America generals agree with me.

....
WASHINGTON ― The U.S. announced Friday it will send Ukraine the ground-launched small-diameter bomb, a weapon that can double Kyiv’s strike range, as part of its latest military aid package, worth $2.17 billion.
.....

U.S. GLSDBs are launched from HIMARS launch systems. So yes, better missiles are coming for Ukraine's military. Plus UK's Storm Shadow missiles now being used by Ukraine.

Unproven technology. I believe the efficacy of these weapons when they're proven on the battlefield; when there is evidence of successful strikes against Russian targets.

Storm Shadow has passed the acid test, GLSDB hasn't.

GLSDB to HIMARS. "Hold my beer!"
