His only problem appears to be....when you spend all-your-time "preaching to the choir"....it doesn't do much for your....

Big fan o' The Huck$ter, are you??
So if you don't like the narcissistic fonts generally used to sell foreign Viagra via email, it means you support Huckabee?

Argument Ad Typesetting. That's an interesting fallacy. I'd expect as much from a Romney supporter like you.

Why people consider this man charismatic is beyond me. He's very good at making bigotry and Christian exceptionalism seem normal. To divine his true intent, watch how he talks to his own instead of his opponents. He's a bastard.

Yay, the guy who wants to hold a gun to non-believers' heads and force them to watch religious propaganda films. Ugh.

Didn't you just answer your own question?

It's more the way he makes bigotry et al look normal: by spewing such an extremely disgusting bizarro world verson of them that anything less extreme comes as a breath of fresh air. He's always terrifyingly whacked out on fundy-fumes, and has no appreciable charisma. The only thing he has is being super-duper mega-crazy, normalizing the crazy by adding a lead weight a million miles off the tail, and dragging the mean with it.

....But, hardly....

"Pat Robertson may be a stalwart denier of climate change, but today on “The 700 Club” the televangelist conceded that climate change did occur in biblical times, and that’s why humans no longer live to be 950 years old like Noah, or make it to 969 like Noah’s grandfather Methuselah.

“Apparently, after the Flood there wasn’t as much moisture in the air, there weren’t as many bacteria, microbes and things like that and maybe the climate was such that salts on our bodies weren’t as severe,” he said. “But after the Flood, God said the years of a man is going to be 120 years.”

He has that old country preacher feel to him. I was trapped in SC one weekend at my mom's condo in Myrtle Beach back during the 2008 race and he was campaigning there. I saw his bus pull into a parking lot and there were some of his supporters out front so I walked over to hear him.

He works a crowd well, and can make everyone in that crowd feel like he's there just to see him or her. He has the proper cadence that comforts the church going, and he peppers his spiel with just enough, "Now, I'm not talking about ALL the (fill in the blank hated group here)" to appear to be discerning and not bigoted.

If he wasn't batshit crazy and evil incarnate, he could have easily been in his lame duck session now.

Truth be told, I left that little gathering hating practically everything he said, but I couldn't hate him. And I didn't even want to.

God hasn't quite lived up to that one yet, eh? Very few people even make it to 100.

I must confess, I hadn't noticed Huckabee was ever present.
He kind of finished in 2nd in '08. Kind of as in he finished 3rd in total votes, but when Romney left the race when it was already over, Huckabee became 2nd. And he won lots of critical states like Kansas and Alabama.

I'm jessayin'

Do not play the Huckster cheap.

The Prophet Sinclair Lewis warned us nearly 80 years ago,

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross."
